IN 2009 THE POOL SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP BOARD DECIDED TO DISCONTINUE THE NASCAR POOL
Welcome to the NASCAR Pool, presented by the Pool Series Championship, is the next best thing to being down in the pit!
We'll put you in charge of your own team of 5 Nextel Cup drivers. The better your drivers finish, the more fantasy points your team will accumulate. The teams with the most fantasy points will win the overall championship for our NASCAR series of races.
Each race week you will choose a team of 5 Nextel Cup drivers. You will have $1,000,000 in fantasy dollars to divide among your 5 drivers
Drivers' salaries will be based on recent performance and may change after each race. New drivers may be added to the mix each week, so be alert
If your driver does not race then you will receive zero points for that particular driver
The deadline for selecting your drivers for each race is 1 hour before the beginning of the race. Keep in mind that in most weeks, Nextel Cup races are on Sunday
Pool Series Championship NASCAR pool takes part in the first 10 NASCAR events of the Nextel Cup season (excluding road races)
Your team will earn one point for each Nextel Cup point earned by your drivers. Your total team score for each race is the total of all the Nextel Cup points earned by your drivers for that race. Your total season score is the combined total of all your race scores
Additionally, any driver who leads at least one lap during the race receives 5 bonus points, and the driver who led the most laps during the race receives an additional 5 bonus points
NOTE: If a penalty is levied against one of the drivers you have selected AFTER the completion of a race, NO points shall be deducted from your fantasy score

Statistics will be kept on total points for all 10 races during the season. The top teams with the largest accumulation of points will be eligible for the cash prizes. Amounts will be posted prior to the first event of the season
